BESTWA (pronounced Best Way) stands for Building Economic Success Together in West Africa. Our aim is to improve the economic
condition of the poorest of the poor in West Africa, beginning in Liberia. |

In 1999 we began making micro-loans to create income for Liberians. These loans are usually less than $100. They are designed to help a family start a small business. These businesses usually consist of buying necessities at wholesale and selling retail. We are thankful for the many families who are now self-sufficient because of this program. We continue to make micro-loans. |

We introduced a new business program in December 2004.
We help Liberians start businesses that employ 5 to 50 people.
Each business will also be used to train new business managers
to start similar new businesses. |
